“Giving Sorrow Words (How Does It Feel)” Review

REVIEW OF “GIVING SORROW WORDS (HOW DOES IT FEEL)” by ’92 in the Shade / Reviewer: Zachary Larson

Giving Sorrow Words (How Does It Feel) is the newest release by Rock band ’92 In The Shade.

Giving Sorrow Words (How Does It Feel) has the initial impression of a Singer-Songwriter’s Indie tune before gradually transforming into a Grunge fan’s muddy paradise. Sitar and organ thicken the slow, guitar-driven groove to add layers of intensity and intrigue. True to its name, the weighty lyrics pull the listener down through sorrow and intensity. Michael P. Naughton sings with a deeply strained rock edge. He juxtaposes moments of larger-than-life triumph with wallowing, introverted reflection. Overall, Giving Sorrow Words (How Does It Feel) by ’92 In The Shade is a killer new Rock tune that pushes its weight over everything in its path.

The slow transformation the tune takes into a heavy grunge song is very cool. It adds a weight to the lyrical content, and turns the tune into a real listening experience. Fans of tunes with a slow burn will definitely enjoy Giving Sorrow Words (How Does It Feel).

Fans of Grunge, Blues Rock, and Rock will enjoy Giving Sorrow Words (How Does It Feel) by ’92 In the Shade.
